Outpatient Services

The intensive outpatient services at Tuerk House are designed to transition individuals who are struggling with addiction to a life of successful, sober self-sufficiency. It’s the ideal solution for patients who need continued, structured support while they safely go back to work, school, and/or family life.

Levels of Outpatient Substance Use Disorder Care:

Outpatient Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) Level 2.5

PHP is the most intensive level of outpatient care—meaning a patient receives substance use disorder care from our team during the day but can return to their own environment in the evening. This level of care is primarily for individuals who require significant guidance and structure but do not require 24-hour medical supervision from our staff. For many, outpatient partial hospitalization is used as a transitional step after completing residential or inpatient treatment. PHP requires 20 or more clinical service hours per week.

Intensive Outpatient Treatment (IOP) Level 2.1

IOP is one step down from outpatient partial hospitalization. Patients can expect fewer hours of treatment during the week, and our team works around patients’ lives—from work schedules to school to family commitments—to ensure lasting recovery is possible without causing major disruption to their everyday lives. IOP requires 9 or more clinical service hours per week.

Outpatient Treatment (OP) Level 1.0

Outpatient treatment is the most flexible form of substance use disorder care. Patients work with the Tuerk House team weekly; we serve as their ongoing support system—offering tailored services, such as therapy or peer support, to help them manage their day-to-day responsibilities while maintaining their sobriety and living their most rewarding lives. Outpatient treatment requires less than 9 clinical service hours per week.

Outpatient Mental Health Clinic

The Outpatient Mental Health Clinic at Tuerk House offers counseling and psychotherapy services for individuals, couples, families, groups, participants in PHP, and intensive outpatient programs (IOP).

These services are provided by behavioral health licensed therapists, social workers, and family and psychiatric nurse practitioners, and include psychological evaluations and support for adults and adolescents in the following areas:

Anger management
Anxiety
Depression
Parenting challenges and family conflicts
Relationship management

Substance abuse disorder
Trauma disorders
Psychotic disorders
Mood disorders
Grief and loss
